Instagram movie portraits. The idea is a simple one. Create a portrait using screen capture and then the Instagram app. I decided to start with iconic movies from the 70's; movies I remember from childhood. Part of the idea is to avoid any of the iconic imagery typically associated with that particular movie and find a moment less represented in pop-culture. Instead of looking down the barrel of Dirty Harry's .44 Magnum, I look for a moment when Harry looks more introverted or perhaps even melancholy. I just started so I don't know where this will wind up, but it's given me a reason to go back and screen movies I've not seen for a long time.
